Netive VMS Connect
Giant Group

Speed, accuracy and compliance are non-negotiables in the world of contingent workforce solutions. Giant Group, a global workforce management specialist, manages thousands of professionals in over 60 countries, understands this all too well. When demand for seamless, real-time workforce data increased, Giant saw an opportunity to raise the bar on service delivery for one of their large enterprise clients. The solution? A rapid API integration between their proprietary platform and Nétive VMS, designed to simplify operations, eliminate duplication, and improve the user experience across the board.

A Strategic Step Forward

Giant’s integration goals were clear from the start:

  • Automate the flow of worker, assignment and timesheet data between systems.
  • Eliminate duplication and reduce reconciliation effort.
  • Improve data accuracy and visibility for clients and suppliers.
  • Deliver the integration in under 12 weeks, aligned with a critical go-live date for their client.

With both teams aligned and speaking the same technical language, the stage was set for a fast-paced, collaborative delivery.

Partnering for Innovation: Giant + Nétive VMS

Giant teamed up with Nétive VMS to deliver a fully automated, secure integration using Nétive’s Open API framework. The project was structured into four agile phases:

Discovery & Design (Weeks 1–2)

Joint workshops helped align data requirements and map field names, with a dedicated data steward ensuring a clean, consistent dataset from the outset.

Build & Configure (Weeks 3–8)

The development team built robust endpoints with the right security, creating a scalable framework ready for volume and complexity, including night-shift logic.

UAT & Optimisation (Weeks 9–11)

Running the integration in parallel with the existing process surfaced key edge cases, such as field-name interpretation issues and client-specific configuration variances – all resolved before launch.

Deploy & Hyper-care (Week 12)

A controlled cutover over the weekend was followed by daily stand-ups and real-time monitoring dashboards to support smooth adoption.

A complex integration delivered in under 12 weeks - proof of what’s possible when two teams share the same vision and technical vocabulary.

The Role of Nétive VMS

Nétive’s technology and consultancy services were key to ensuring the success of the integration:

  • Open API: Secure, bidirectional data exchange powering real-time updates.
  • Core VMS Platform: Seamlessly handled assignments, timesheets and rate logic.
  • Consultancy: Helped navigate field-mapping quirks and configuration differences.
  • Governance & Templates: Provided structure through RAID logs, PM templates and sprint demos.

Nétive’s experience in complex enterprise setups made a real difference in ensuring alignment, speed and flexibility throughout.

‘Working with Giant on this project was one of the most efficient and rapid integration projects I’ve been a part of. As an implementation consultant, my role was to translate Giant’s data needs into system configurations, which included mapping our fields to theirs and navigating the differences between our data structures. The success of this complex integration, which we delivered in under 12 weeks, was a testament to the highly professional and collaborative nature of all stakeholders on both sides. Everyone was willing to roll up their sleeves and work together to quickly resolve any hurdles, ensuring we stayed focused and on track to meet our tight deadline.’

Kieran Jones, Senior Solutions Architect, Nétive VMS

Challenges Faced, and Overcome

As with any fast-paced integration project, a few hurdles appeared along the way:

  • Field name interpretation issues – Differences in naming conventions between systems required careful alignment and a shared understanding to ensure consistency in data exchange.
  • Legacy configuration clashes – Variations from previous client implementations introduced complexity that needed to be reconciled early in testing.
  • Tight timelines – Delivering a robust, end-to-end integration inside 12 weeks required a focused, agile approach and close collaboration throughout.

These challenges were overcome thanks to strong communication, a shared technical vocabulary, and the ability to adapt quickly when needed.

Field mapping was tricky at times, and there were configuration differences from previous client implementations – but we worked through these together, with a lot of openness and agility on both sides.

Measurable Outcomes

Since launching the integration, Giant and their end-user client have seen a meaningful shift in performance, efficiency and user satisfaction:

  • Data accuracy has improved significantly, with reduced need for manual reconciliation.
  • Timesheet and worker data now syncs in near real-time, reducing processing delays.
  • Client programme managers and suppliers report a smoother, more consistent user experience.
  • Fewer support tickets and admin touchpoints, freeing up valuable internal resources, thanks to a clean, automated data flow.
  • Integration delivered on time, within a tight 12-week window, with no disruption to service.

We really enjoy working with the team at Nétive. From day one, we spoke the same language, and that helped us move fast and stay focused on the end result.

— Ceylan Salih, Senior Client Services Manager, Giant Group

Lessons Learned

  • Data quality is everything: A clean, authoritative dataset is essential for successful integration.
  • Standard, flexible mapping wins: Agree on naming conventions, but be ready for client-specific tweaks.
  • Partnership matters: Collaboration and clear communication made a tight 12-week delivery possible.

Looking Ahead

The success of this integration has laid the groundwork for deeper collaboration. Giant and Nétive are continuing to co‑innovate, ensuring clients benefit from best-fit technology that combines automation, compliance and a smooth user experience.

Where client requirements overlap, the two teams work closely to deliver unified, future-ready solutions that put people and performance first.
