Royal Schiphol Group and Nétive VMS have renewed and extended their partnership with a long-term agreement. This marks the next step in a collaboration that has already spanned more than eight years and lays the foundation for further professionalisation of Total Workforce Management at Schiphol.

Amsterdam Airport Schiphol is the Netherlands’ main international airport and one of Europe’s largest aviation hubs. The airport is operated by Royal Schiphol Group, which also manages several regional airports across the country.

The Next Step

For over eight years, Schiphol has worked with Nétive VMS to organise and optimise the flexible engagement of talent. In the previous contract period, this collaboration took shape within an MSP structure facilitated by Magnit. Nétive VMS would like to thank Magnit for the constructive partnership and the important role they have played over the past years.

With the new agreement, Schiphol takes the relationship a step further: Nétive VMS is now contracted directly and positioned as one of the core applications within the HR-IT landscape, alongside systems such as SAP SuccessFactors and Oracle Cloud. This underlines the strategic importance of Nétive VMS in supporting Schiphol’s total workforce strategy.

Building Towards Total Workforce Management

In the coming years, Schiphol and Nétive VMS will continue to develop an integrated, data-driven Total Talent Acquisition (TTA) approach. The ambition for 2026–2029 is to establish a fully integrated process for attracting and managing talent, with the emphasis on skills and capability rather than contract type.

Within this vision, Nétive VMS serves as a key technology partner. By bringing together all talent streams, Nétive provides Schiphol with better insight into its total workforce, stronger management information, and a future-proof TTA approach.

That Schiphol is now positioning us as one of the core systems in their HR-IT landscape, alongside solutions like SAP SuccessFactors and Oracle, reflects the deep trust they place in our role.

— Eric Noorlander, CCO Nétive VMS

Mikael Lindmark, CEO at Nétive VMS continues: “Their vision for an integrated, data-driven Total Talent strategy aligns perfectly with what we aim to achieve with our VMS. We strongly believe in the contribution we can make in the years ahead by bringing all talent streams together into one coherent, holistic picture.”

From Contingent Hiring to an Integrated Talent Perspective

Where contingent staffing and flexible labour were traditionally organised as separate elements, Schiphol is increasingly shifting towards a holistic, talent-centred perspective. By better connecting data, processes, and technology, a workforce ecosystem emerges that enables strategic decision-making about talent—regardless of contract type.

The renewal of this contract gives the collaboration between Royal Schiphol Group and Nétive VMS a strong and future-oriented continuation. Both parties look forward to further building an integrated, data-driven workforce strategy in the years to come.
