One of the standout strengths of the day was the emphasis on innovation and adaptability. As Chris Neddermeijer, one of Netive VMS’ co-founders, eloquently put it, “Every day should be better than the last day,” a philosophy that clearly underpins Nétive’s approach to continuous improvement. The rapid adoption of AI, with ChatGPT reaching 50 million users in just three months, underscores the urgency and necessity of this innovative mindset.

Kieran Jones, Product Owner at Nétive VMS, presented a compelling product vision centred on transforming the core platform into an AI-first market-leading solution. This strategic shift moves beyond traditional Vendor Management Systems (VMS) to embrace an intelligent workforce platform where AI acts as an integrated co-pilot.

Key drivers for this new era include:

AI Reshaping Workforce Management: Moving beyond simple tasks to intelligent process orchestration.
Decision Intelligence: Leveraging data for predictive, not just reactive, management.
Human-AI Collaboration: AI supporting and enhancing human decision-making, not replacing it.

The commitment to responsible and transformative AI was another significant strength. Nétive VMS has established four non-negotiable guiding principles: human-centred design, trust and privacy, holistic value creation, and targeted utility. These principles ensure that AI consistently delivers value while strictly maintaining ethical standards and user trust, particularly when dealing with personal data.

Discussions also highlighted the challenges and opportunities in the contingent workforce. Brian Huggett, Managing Director of APSCo, shared his extensive experience in talent acquisition, emphasising the “unfinished business” in areas like strategic workforce planning, total talent management, and skills. He believes AI can be a catalyst to solve these long-standing issues, potentially bringing order to what has historically been a complex and fragmented landscape.

Mikael Lindmark’s, CEO of Nétive VMS, insights on the differing paces of change in various countries, particularly the high use of freelancers in the Netherlands, provided a broader perspective on the global talent market. He also touched upon the critical need for HR and procurement to collaborate in understanding the total workforce and leveraging technology to manage it effectively.

The UK Customer Day successfully conveyed Nétive VMS’ dedication to evolving with the market, embracing AI as a core component of its future, and empowering its customers and partners with intelligent solutions.

The discussions underscored that while the market remains difficult to predict, strategic agility, diversification, and a focus on client relationships will be key to future growth. The event left attendees with a clear sense of optimism and excitement for the AI-first future that Nétive is building.
